48 hours until Christmas.
And I finally finished decorating my house for the holidays. Yay, me!
I had most of it done in early December, but then I had those last few things left to do and I never did them… go figure. But we had some friends over for a holiday party last night, and it forced me to finish a few things. Even still; there is so much I wanted to do that I never got around to. There’s always next year, I suppose.
Since this was is our first Christmas in our new house, I had so much fun figuring out where to put everything. I even picked up a few new goodies and decided it was time to start fazing out some of the cheap stuff I bought at Big Lots when we were young, first married and poor (but I kept the scratched up, paper thin mini silver ornaments that I’ve put on the tree every year since our first Christmas together 9 years ago for sentimental reasons).
Some of my new requisitions included an old wooden sled found for $20 at the flea market, a red vintage looking metal truck (from Target), pillow covers (Zana products & H&M), and a nutcracker for my slow-growing collection.
