I’m guessing if you’ve got an elementary-aged boy in your home you know ALL about NINJAGO. And you probably also know that there is LEGO NINJAGO movie coming out September 22nd. A movie which, if I’m being honest, I have no problems going to see with my five year old. I took him to see the LEGO Batman movie and thoroughly enjoyed myself, thanks to plenty of adult jokes and a bucket full of popcorn (how can you go wrong?).
I was excited when I was approached to make a NINJAGO costume for this coming Halloween as a guest blogger for my friend Marie over at MakeAndTakes.com, knowing that my son Lincoln would be thrilled with the idea. And I was correct.
He wanted to help make his costume… bad idea, seeing as to how I can hardly keep it together when I sew solo thanks to more than a few errors. So I managed to keep him busy while I put together his costume in a few hours one afternoon. When all was said and done, he looked at me and said “Mom, I think you did an awesome job!” And I nearly toppled over with mommy pride and joy.
It was extremely easy to put together and cost less than $20/$30 (depending on how many supplies you have on hand).
