As the end of the year approaches, it’s a good time to stop and reflect on all we are thankful for. As a mom, instilling gratitude in my kids is incredibly important to me; and I’m sure I’m not alone. So I’ve created these FREE Gratitude Cards for you to print and fill out with your…
Just try and look at these pictures of turkeys without drooling. Just try. I’m a late bloomer, so I am just figuring out how I’m going to cook my turkey tomorrow morning. I never make it the same way, because I have some sort of sickness. I guess I just haven’t found a recipe that…
It’s official. Thanksgiving has ended. No more stuffing, no more pies, no more gravy. However… if you’re like me, you still have some turkey sitting in the fridge just begging to be transformed into another meal. At this point I’ve had my fill of the traditional turkey dinner (gorging myself on Thanksgiving and then having one night…
Things have been ridiculously busy for us over the last week or so. My mother and father-in-law were here for a full week for the Thanksgiving holiday, so I was busy prepping for their stay and then enjoying our time with them. We managed to squeeze a WHOLE lot into one little week, including a trip to the Denver Zoo, a Christmas Lighting at Pearl Street in Boulder, an overnight getaway for myself and the Mr. in Vail, CO to celebrate 7 happy years of marriage, Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping. Phew. I’m still exhausted.
Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and I am finding myself getting final preparations in order; making my grocery list, picking out my recipes, planning decor… it’s all part of the holiday fun!
Here’s a roundup of some of the things that I’m including in my Thanksgiving this year. If it’s sneaking up on you and you’re feeling unprepared, throw some of these ideas into play and you’ll be all set. See, you didn’t really need to stress, did you?
Hello, friends! Are you gearing up for Thanksgiving?
I LOVE Thanksgiving. I am a huge fan of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls… ok, food in general. Not to mention, I love the idea of celebrating all you are thankful for at least one day a year. And I believe it should be spent with family or friends, because really, I think every holiday is better when spent with those you love.
It’s sort of sad that we need a holiday to remind us to stop and say thanks for all we have, but I for one am grateful that we do. Otherwise, the busyness of my everyday would most definitely keep me from remembering that I am so beyond blessed and so unworthy of all God has given me. So today, of all days, I want to stop and take stock.
I just posted some new printables in my Etsy shop for Thanksgiving!

It’s time for another installment in our “Holidays with Martha” series. Who can pull together some fancy side dishes better than Miss Martha? Here are some of my top picks from Martha’s arsenal:
I really love Martha Stewart. Really. The lady is super-crafty, knows her way around the kitchen, and loves to boss people around and tell them when they’re doing things wrong on television. It’s hilarious.
