Seeing as to how I’ve got a little man on the way (whom will be making an appearance in just a couple of months), I couldn’t help but “awww” over these adorable DIY shoes from Shwin & Shwin. She offers a free pattern and tutorial for making them, along with matching bow-tie onesies. ADORABLE!
I made these baggie toppers as a simple solution for Easter gifts for classmates, neighborhood kids, or even coworkers. Purchase for only $5 in my Etsy shop, print as many as you like, and hand out some thoughtful, affordable Easter goodies.
With Mother’s Day coming up in just a couple of months, it’s a good time to start thinking about some DIY gift ideas. I did a DIY gifts for mom: Part 1 post last Christmas for my Save Money Monday series, and thought it was high time for a follow-up!
There are so many great DIY gift ideas that moms will love, and that extra time and effort put in will not go unnoticed by the one who birthed you (at least I hope).
I am working on finishing up my little craft corner in my bedroom (which you will get to see soon, I promise), and this past weekend I made some art for it that I thought I’d share.
I ran across this awesome free printable poster that read “Happiness is a Warm Glue Gun” from ManMadeDIY.com on Pinterest. My husband informed me that this is a play off a Beatles song, “Happiness is a Warm Gun,” to which I was not privy… I just happen to like glue guns; but suddenly I felt like it was a whole lot cooler.
The other day, my girlfriend Michelle from Just Watching My Garden Grow blogged about the adorable little block family that her daughter created, and I couldn’t help but share it! Daddy cut her 5 wooden pieces, one for each member of the family (including newborn baby, Hendricks), and little Lilly went to town coloring each block, front and back. Not only did it keep her daughter busy, but Michelle gained some perfect homemade decor! What a great idea for a rainy day.
For the longest time, I’ve been in love with these adorable bunnies that are made and sold by blogger Chez Beeper Bebe. Today I ran across a free tutorial and pattern that she offers on her blog so you can make your own, and I was so excited that I had to share!
Aren’t they adorable? I will definitely be making them from some old t-shirts for my little girl and soon-to-be boy for Easter. They’ll look perfect in their little baskets, and I like the idea of incorporating something homemade in every Easter basket. Last year, I made beanbag chicks from a Martha Stewart tutorial.
A few months back, I wrote a blog on different ideas for hanging photos and art without frames, since frames can be so expensive. Turns out, people really loved the idea of hanging art and photos without frames and it’s been a really popular post, so I decided to do a follow-up with nine more ideas…
I’m totally obsessed with the industrial look right now.
My love for the look started with casters… I wanted to put casters on everything! We started with my daughter’s DIY toddler pallet bed, but I’m also in love with a DIY coffee table with casters that I found on Pinterest.
I’d like to put some casters on this vintage 7-Up crate that I bought at the flea market to use as a toy box in my son’s nursery (the vintage globe will also go in the nursery):
A few weeks ago, I posted pictures from my daughter’s 2nd vintage circus birthday party, and it made me think about all the hard work and energy I put into her 1st birthday party. I threw that party before I started blogging on The Mombot, so I thought I would backtrack and share some images from her milk & cookies themed party.
If you love decorating your home as much as I do, you’ll love this roundup of online design tools on Seventh House on the Left today! She share a tool from Pottery Barn that allows you to plug in the dimensions of your room and redecorate it, a tool from My Galleries that helps you figure out how and what to hang on your walls, and more. I didn’t know about any of them (save for Pinterest), and I can’t wait to try them out! Check them out on Seventh House on the Left.
