Merry Christmas! I realize I’m a day late on that, but I was so busy Christmas Eve and Christmas day that I didn’t get a chance to wish you all a happy holiday. I didn’t want to take time away from my family and you probably were too busy with yours to be reading blogs anyway!
Bwaaaaahh! It’s the weekend before Christmas – even scarier, it’s 4 days until Christmas! Yesterday I found myself scrambling for last minute gift ideas to give to neighbors, friends, and teachers. Clearly, I did not plan ahead…
But if you’re in the same boat, don’t worry! I found some great last-minute ideas that you DIY in a couple of hours. They won’t add much more to your (most likely) depleted Christmas budget, but they are still full of love and super cute.
So I just stumbled upon this blog by Merrilee and it is blowing my mind. She has some of the most awesome craft ideas for kids, I wish I had found her before the holiday season began! I was particularly inspired by her Ikea shelf Christmas tree.
I rarely buy wrapping paper. It just seems like such a waste since you only use it once. Besides, I throw away so much paper throughout the year, it’s just as easy (and cheaper) to reuse some of it for wrapping gifts.
This year’s Christmas card is going to be a bit different. My husband hates taking family photos. Hates it. So we don’t do it very often, and this year I decided not to do the typical family photo Christmas card just for him.
Still looking for that perfect gift for the man in your life (or dad, or brother…). I love some of these DIY gift ideas – particularly the back rub car t-shirt and the embroidered hankies for dads.
Figured out what you’re doing for Christmas cards yet? I prefer printable cards; they cost way less than ordering through a company and you don’t need to think so far in advance about getting them done because of shipping time (I tend to procrastinate!). I’ve come up with 2 new Christmas cards designs for my Etsy shop, and there are more to come!
It’s no secret – grandparents love pictures of their grandkids. But there’s no reason to give them an album for every holiday when there are so many creative ideas out there for sentimental gifts they are sure to love.
Here are some of my favorite (and on my list this year to DIY):
Christmas is approaching and it’s time to pull out all the stops to make some awesome and affordable DIY gifts! I love giving handmade gifts for the holidays; it’s thoughtful and unique, and helps me stay on budget during such an expensive time of year.
