Why is Ikea the best thing ever? I mean, really. Years ago, my husband and I decided that we were old enough to buy “real” furniture. Furniture that was pre-built, made from solid wood, and didn’t have “Flork” anywhere in the name. And thus we decided not to buy any of our big, necessary items (like beds and couches and tables) from Ikea anymore.
But that was before the days of the “Ikea Hack” revolution, and now this DIY addict can not get enough of Ikea. Of course, I never want to use anything as it actually comes, but I want to make the project 100x harder and create something totally unique à la that awesome Pin I found yesterday. I cannot say that my husband is pleased with this. Oh well.
I am mildly obsessed with searching for and pinning Ikea hacks. Especially now that we bought our first home. There’s so much to do, and we’re on a budget, so…. real furniture will have to wait. Here are some of the Ikea hacks that I am drooling over and possibly planning to replicate:
