I’m so excited to share my weekend DIY project with you today! If you’ll remember, I put a DIY toddler bed on my Top 10 list of projects to finish in 2012, and this weekend I accomplished just that. I’m super proud of it because neither myself nor my husband have much experience in working…
About 6 months ago, I purchased an old typing table from someone on Craigslist for a measly $5. I happened to come across it right after I decided to create a crafting corner in my bedroom and knew its tiny, yet expandable size was just what I needed. Last month, I put it on my list as one of the top 10 projects I wanted to finish in 2012. So here’s the big reveal!
I love “Oh The Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss; the first time I read it to my daughter, I cried. I know, I know, I’m a sentimental fool. But how many of you moms can honestly say it didn’t make you tear up? Ah ha! That’s what I thought.
I’m about 4 months away from welcoming my little man into the world, and nursery prep is in full swing. We have sooo much work to do, but I’ve been keeping all my dreams for the room organized so that we can pull it together quickly.
I thought I’d share my baby boy nursery mood board with you since I’m so excited about it. The color scheme will be centered around the Skip Hop Mod Dot bedding, which I found and immediately fell in love with. The wall behind the crib will feature fabric clouds, and there will be subtle additions of clouds, airplanes, and globes/maps around the room.
On Saturday, we threw a rousing vintage circus party for my little girl, who turned 2. As usual, I went overboard on the décor and spent several hours on Friday setting it up. About half way through, I thought to myself, “why do I always this?” But once it was all up, and now that I look back at the pictures, I am so happy with how it turned out and I am glad that I put in all the effort (and so, so happy that it’s over…).
With a new year beginning, I have another opportunity to try and get organized and get things done! With a baby on the way and a toddler turning two next week (yikes!), most of the projects I want to finish center around completing their bedrooms, as well as my own, which is getting its very own crafting corner.
I’ve made a huge “to-do” list for myself and the Mr., and the following ten projects are ones that I pledge to finish this year, gosh darnit. I’ll let you know my progress; be sure and hold me accountable!
I can hardly believe it, but my baby girl is turning 2 in a matter of two weeks. Because of the holidays, I haven’t had time to do any party planning, so I finally got my butt in gear this weekend and made the invitations and did a little planning.
I decided on a vintage circus theme, and found tons of inspiration online. Here are some of the ideas I came up with:
My little lady in her furry coat wishes you a very Merry Christmas!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I enjoyed the long holiday weekend and spent lots of time with my family (which is why it was so quiet around here).
