I’m 31 weeks (actually just about 32), and struggling with a very low belly. I’m not sure if you can really tell in the photos, but this baby has dropped so low that it’s really uncomfortable. Of course, a 31-week belly is uncomfortable enough as it is, regardless of position. You should have seen me trying to paint my toenails yesterday; I was sitting in a very interesting position on the floor and huffing and puffing because I couldn’t breathe. Oh the joys of pregnancy!
Are you assembling your baskets and Easter goodies? I’ve made some free printable Easter tags for you to download, print, and attach to your gifts for that finishing touch.
I may still be pregnant and unable to wear all the trends, but I think I can pull off the spring maxi skirt. Although, wearing it with a tucked in tank and skinny belt probably won’t work so well… but as soon as my little man is out, that will be my outfit of choice!
I am so excited for the Rory Beca spring collection launching at Forever21 online and in stores later this month. Known for her use of prints and bold color, Rory brings sexy, feminine silhouettes to her spring collection. How gorgeous are these chiffon pieces? I can’t wait to snatch some up!
Colorblocking seems to be popping up everywhere this spring/summer. It was all over the spring 2011 runways, and you can find it in just about any store. This trends rules for one reason: it’s super simple to achieve (oh, and you might be able to re-create with items you already own! – I guess that’s two reasons…).
Colorblocking by [loose] definition is combining several complementary solid colors to create an item of clothing or an outfit. Some designers have done the work for you by creating dresses, shirts, skirts, and even accessories with blocks of color.
Last weekend, I was on the search for affordable options to some of this spring’s hottest trends. H&M is one of my favorite places to find budget-friendly trends, and after browsing the store, I confirmed that stripes, mini florals, and maxi dresses and skirts were must-haves for the season.
I was able to find some great items for under $100. Here’s what I snatched up:
I put together some Easter baskets for the kids of our closest friends and wanted to give them a little handmade goodie. I stumbled upon a tutorial for chick beanbags at MarthaStewart.com, and loved how easy they looked and how adorable they were. They ended up being really simple and I was able to use scraps of fabric that I already had.
They would be perfect to decorate your house with for spring, or to give as gifts to kids. Check out the tutorial over at MarthaStewart.com.
