Gosh, it’s been 6 months since I last posted a What I Wore article! I guess the first half of the year was a bit busy. Truthfully I don’t take my picture very often, so I suppose content would be lacking if I posted it too frequently. In any event, you know the drill…
What I Wore posts exist solely to inspire you to look into your closet and mix it up a bit. When I feel good about the way I look, I’m happier and more productive, and I want you to feel the same! You don’t have to shop frequently, just play around with what you have and learn about what you like and don’t like, what looks good on you and what doesn’t. Fashion is about self-confidence and creativity!
If there are two things in my closet that I admit to wearing a lot, it’s jeans and dresses. You’ll see plenty of both below. And to give you some insider info: I only own 3 pairs of jeans. Which is actually a lot, because for a long time, I only owned one pair each year. I’m not excessive in what I have in my closet, that’s for sure.
In fact, after recently watching the documentary “Minimalism,” I have actually gotten rid of a ton of clothes. One of the girls in the movie said something that struck me: “I never worry about what to wear because everything I own is my favorite.” The next day, I took about 1/3 of my clothes out of my closet. All that stuff that I stare at frequently but never actually want to wear. So I’m taking a new approach to what I wear and trying to only hold on to my favorite pieces.
