I’m a huge fan of the maxi skirt; it feels comfy and looks effortless. I even put it on my “must-have” list for fall.
I snatched up a white organic cotton skirt from H&M at the beginning of the summer and am still wearing into the fall (since it doesn’t feel at all like fall in SoCal). Today, I wore it with a shirt that you’ve seen in a previous post, but who cares? Why pretend like I don’t wear things twice.
My favorite days to wear this lightweight maxi are when it’s breezy outside; then it moves in the wind and I feel like I’m in that scene from Beauty and the Beast where Bell is running through the fields singing her heart out while her dress slowly sways from side to side… Ok, that may be a little much. I’m cutting myself off.

I love the laidback, slouchy look of this outfit. Generally I try and wear something form-fitting on top when I have something loose on the bottom half, but this time I felt like it just worked. What do you think? At least I don’t have to worry about eating too much; this outfit covers all offenses.
I’m linking up over at The Pleated Poppy – go see what everyone else is wearing!
