As the end of the school year is approaching, it’s time to start thinking about gifts for our much-deserving teachers. My daughter’s preschool teachers work so hard and love their kids so much, and they definitely deserve something special! This year I am on the Preschool board and have offered to help with end-of-the-year gifts from the entire class, and I’m trying to come up with something worthy of such wonderful people.
I’ve had so much fun browsing Pinterest and finding ideas – though I use discretion. I generally try to stay away from anything TOO crafty and teacher-y… i.e. anything made from rulers, crayons or wooden apples. I found out I was right on when I read this post from a former teacher about good vs. bad teacher gifts. I find that practical or heartfelt works much better…
The following ideas are sure to be loved by your teacher(s) and include some that are DIY and some that are purchased (and some that are both!), so you can decide based on how much time and energy you have (because, let’s face it, we as parents are often pooped out by the end of the year – something I discuss here). Whichever path you choose, I think there’s a couple of winners in here:
Teacher tree art print
Handmade teacher mug
Gift card printable (hilarious!)
Free printable thank you notes – mad libs style
A collection of goodies tucked away in a cute bag
DIY chalkboard nameplates
