Since Halloween is fast approaching, I’ve had spooky decorating on the brain. While looking for ideas online, I kept running across these amazing Halloween mantels. Unfortunately I don’t have a fireplace, hence, I don’t have a mantel… but I can still pick elements from each one of these for other places in my house. I’m sure you could draw inspiration from them too, so here’s my “best of” list for Halloween mantels.
This mantel is super crafty, and I love how the natural color palette complements the brick wall.
This Halloween banner draws me in right away! I also love the use of beads, sticks, and candy jars. So many crafty touches.

My first thought is “how many holes did they have to put in the wall to get the frames to hang that way??” …because holes in the wall are a weird concern for me. Aside from that, I love the staggering of the frames, using moss and cheesecloth as accents, and the spooky, old images inside the frames. This is one creative person.

I am in love with that silhouette pumpkin and the skull pillow. I like that this mantel is a very classy form of spooky. You can also download and print the “spooky” banner here.

I’m a huge fan of hanging old windows (I’ve got one in my entry) and I love how they added spiderwebs to spook things up!

I love the idea of adding paper pieces to your existing photos to make them holiday appropriate – although I’m not sure I would make my kids look like the devil… but hey, that’s just me. I’m also loving the randomly placed orange lights.

This mantel is the perfect mixture of Halloween and autumn. I love the autumn leaves and sticks in the vases, the torn cheesecloth, and the owl decal on the mirror.
