This was such a busy weekend… I’m still tired. Between having a family BBQ, going to mom’s group, running to the grocery store, baking, having a picnic in the park, watching a movie, going to church, and having another family dinner, I managed to do some sewing. How, you ask? I have no idea. But somewhere in the midst of all that, I managed it. I’ll be posting tutorials for all of these little projects in the future, but I was too excited to hold it in, so here’s a little preview of what I made.
Also… Isn’t the interwebs such a fabulous place? It’s just full of all kinds of crafty, inspirational goodness. While catching up on my favorite blogs today, I came across post after post that sparked an idea in my head and got me excited for a new project. Here’s some of my faves, feel free to squeal out loud; I did.
I’m definitely making this birthday cake banner for the next birthday party we have around these parts. So easy and so cute! (via BirthdayGirlBlog.com)
Ever since Target featured their products, I am OBSESSED with Liberty of London. On September 7th, they will release a new book, The Liberty Book of Home Sewing. Holly over at Decor8 gives some details and fun sneak peeks as what’s inside. I can’t wait!
We had a picnic this weekend at the park, but it was no where near as pretty as the one over at Sugar & Charm. Ours consisted of grapes, cheese, turkey lunchmeat, and a sweaty, sticky-fingered 18-month-old. One day I hope to class it up a bit and emulate this one.
Morgan over at Meet Virginia has given me a new love for pleated maxi skirts. Never thought I would like this trend, but these photos have me loving it!
