I’m either an awesome, crafty parent or a really crappy one. It depends on how you look at.
I made a bunch of DIY gifts for Mia’s Preschool teachers this year, and while I got “ooo’s” and “ahhh’s,” from them and “how do you find the time?”, only I knew that I had whipped them up last minute and DIYing was the best I could come up with…
Still scrambling for a Mother’s Day gift to give mom on Sunday? Don’t fret, I’ve pulled together some great last-minute ideas that will make you look like you actually planned ahead!
Some you can make at home, and others will require a quick trip to a local store. Either way, there’s still time to make mom feel special!
Here are some of my favorite last-minute Mother’s Day gift ideas:
So because I’m in my own little world, it wasn’t until Tuesday morning when I woke up and starting checking my social media streams that I realized it was National Teacher Appreciation Day… oops. So I dropped my daughter off at Preschool and started brainstorming what I could pull together to bring with me three hours later when I picked her up.
In searching for “teacher appreciation gifts” on Pinterest, I came across a plant and tag that said “thanks for helping me grow…” and my wheels began to turn.
Mother’s Day is on its way, which means it’s time for another round-up of DIY gift ideas! I’ve seen some really great ones lately that I am excited to feature.
I particularly love the new take on the family tree made of butterflies, and the DIY clay pots for succulents – something I have never done, but it looks easy enough that I think I might try it!
I’ve been working on quite a few new shop designs for Mother’s Day and am having so much fun with them!
I love creating products to honor someone we love; it’s easy to draw inspiration and I know that they will be meaningful to the recipient, which makes it all the more worth it.
That being said, I like poking some fun at my mom too, as evidenced by my “casserole” card below.
Mother’s Day is going to be here before we know it… it always seems to happen that way, doesn’t it?
I’ve been working on some Mother’s Day cards for my { Etsy Shop } and am pretty excited about this little “Reasons Why I Love You” series that I created. Most of the reasons were inspired by my own mother… (with the exception of the laundry one, of course).
I don’t know about you, but my husband loves himself some baseball. As luck would have it, so do I, and we have lots of happy memories of attending Dodger games together (most of them before we had kids).
Father’s Day is so fun when you’re a new dad. I’m sure even the manliest of men can’t help but feel sentimental about their new role in life. I couldn’t really help but swoon when I saw this adorable photo of dad and baby cuddled up in a football blanket. It got me to thinking…
If you’ve ever stopped by my blog before, you know I’m a huge DIY gifter. Not only do do-it-yourself gifts save money, I also find them to be really thoughtful. Every holiday I scour the internet for good DIY gift ideas – i.e. something I would actually be proud to give to someone and something that suits their personality/lifestyle; not something cheesy that I’m giving just because it was free or cheap to make.
