I really love Martha Stewart. Really. The lady is super-crafty, knows her way around the kitchen, and loves to boss people around and tell them when they’re doing things wrong on television. It’s hilarious.
I am still recovering from our weekend road trip, where we drove 5 hours each way to visit family. Although we had a good time, traveling that far with a toddler and a ten-week fetus inside you is no easy task. Luckily my toddler did quite well, and I managed not to barf in the car (I’m being overly-dramatic; luckily I haven’t gotten sick yet, although I am nauseous most of the day).
I’m the kind of girl that loves to hang things on the wall. Art, photos, weird little sentimental pieces, shelves. Whatever. I love it all. A full wall gives me joy. Blank walls make me nervous. But if I had to frame each thing that I hang, I would be broke. Because, gosh darnit, frames are expensive.…
I’m getting in the mood for Halloween (can you tell with all the Halloween posts I’ve been doing lately??), so I thought I’d share some photos of my “haunted” (or not so much) house. Here’s a peek at what’s going on in my home: I made this super-simple table runner with black fabric and strips…
Since Halloween is fast approaching, I’ve had spooky decorating on the brain. While looking for ideas online, I kept running across these amazing Halloween mantels. Unfortunately I don’t have a fireplace, hence, I don’t have a mantel… but I can still pick elements from each one of these for other places in my house. I’m…
I woke up to a lovely surprise in my inbox this morning. JoAnn Fabrics has launched the Babyville Boutique on their website, which is full of adorable PUL fabrics for making waterproof diaper covers, cute snaps, fasteners, and elastics, and books and patterns for making cloth diapers.
If you’re like me, you aren’t willing (or able) to shell out the hefty amount that a pre-packaged Halloween costume costs. Not to mention, those things look 10 times cheaper than their price. But not to worry, there are tons of great DIY costumes you can create for your kiddos this Halloween! And you still…
Happy Monday everybody! I am guest posting today over at my friend Michelle’s blog, Just Watching My Garden Grow. Head on over to see the tutorial on how to make this fun crayon roll that I created! It’s the perfect gift for a toddler or kid on the go. While you’re there, check out all the cuteness on her blog. She’s pretty crafty, so I’m sure you’ll find something inspiring!
I just came across this ruffled tote tutorial on UCreate and fell in love! It would be adorable for the fall. My favorite part is that she bought premade tote bags, so she really only had to embellish them. I would much rather embellish something than start from scratch on the bag – immediate satisfaction works best for this impatient crafter… Now I just have to find some fabulous fabric like this. Blue chevron? Yes, please.
I started decorating the house for Halloween this weekend, but was lacking some inspiration so, as usual, I turned to the trusty internet. I tend to shy away from hokey orange and black, skeletons, and fake legs stuck under closed doors, and lean more towards the classic black and white Halloween décor. I came across…
