Last week I mentioned we put a lot of work into our backyard over the three-day weekend. We’ve had a big backyard with practically nothing in it for the longest time; I just haven’t had the energy or the funds to do something really exciting. But a few months ago, I starting running across ideas on Pinterest and one day just started sketching up a plan. Most of it included DIY projects, and all we needed to purchase were 2 chairs, plants, and materials.

I have a fashion confession and a question…
First, my name is Amy and I’m obsessed with cowboy boots. I think 90% of the reason I watched Friday Night Lights was to see what dress Tami Taylor would wear with her cowboy boots next. I secretly want to move to Texas, just so I can wear cowboy boots everyday. I don’t like country music or cowboy hats – just the boots, please.

What I should be posting today is a picture of me in something cute for “What I Wore Wednesday.” But it’s been a while since this little lady got her shop on… So instead, I decided to showcase some of my favorite fall trends; the things on my “to buy” list (whether they actually get purchased or not is yet to be seen, but I can still drool over them).

I have been so out of it lately… the summer is winding down, but August was our busiest month yet with two trips out of state. Next weekend we are having my nephew’s birthday party in our backyard, so for the last three days, my husband and I spent a good chunk of time finishing up all the plans we had for the backyard this summer (stayed tuned for the reveal photos!).
I am so exhausted that I even decided to take Monday, Labor Day, off from blogging. I labored enough this weekend, and wasn’t really in the right mind to write something of quality.
