I made these baggie toppers as a simple solution for Easter gifts for classmates, neighborhood kids, or even coworkers. Purchase for only $5 in my Etsy shop, print as many as you like, and hand out some thoughtful, affordable Easter goodies.
St. Patty’s Day will be here on Saturday, and there are lots of crafts and free printables floating around the web to celebrate.
For some reason, I don’t think this holiday is quite as celebrated in California as much as in other states; there aren’t many family-friendly gatherings or parades that typically happen. Perhaps it’s just the circle I am in, but I don’t usually decorate or do anything special for St. Patty’s. Although now that I think about it, it probably also has to do with the fact that my daughter is not yet school-age; I’m sure once she knows what it is and celebrates it at school, I will find more reason to decorate and more use for printable tags for her classmates.
Despite my apparent apathy for the holiday, these free printables are so cute that it’s really putting me in the mood! Perhaps I’ll put a couple decorations after all…
I just came across these fabulous vintage paper downloads from Oh, Hello Friend and thought I would share them. I can’t wait to use the graphing paper for scrapbooking backgrounds and stationery, and the labels would be adorable on packages. Head over to the Oh, Hello Friend blog to download them for free!
I’m a big fan of sending notes and cards in the mail. As common as email is these days, I feel like some things are just more appropriate with a tangible stamp and envelope!
Since I enjoy sending “thank you” notes and “just because” notes, I often like to make my own stationery. I’ve crafted some up in the past, and now I am selling some new printable robot-themed “Hello” cards in my Etsy shop because I love my little robot lady, and let’s face it, I haven’t always got the time to sit down and sew, cut, or paste together a new card.
I’m pretty excited about Valentine’s Day. Maybe it’s because my two-year-old is old enough to sort of get it, and I can start some traditions with her. Or maybe it’s because I get excited that I am assured a night out with my husband… Hmm. In any event, what can be bad about a day that celebrates love?
I meant to post this yesterday, but a last minute trip to the doctor put me behind all day long (it’s always something, isn’t it?).
Anywhoo, there are so many great printables and tutorials available right now that will help you make the gifts under your tree look gorgeous (and save you money in the meantime). I’ve been using them quite a bit myself this Christmas season. Here are some of my faves:
A while back, my girlfriend found this adorable quote from Winnie the Pooh and asked me to turn it into some artwork for her. She’s very patient, because it took a while before I had time to get to it, but I finally did it and decided to make it available for you all!
Here comes the 4th! I love the 4th of July; it’s usually full of good food, good friends, and good fireworks. Plus (and call me sentimental, if you will), I love the unity that patriotism brings, and knowing that people all over the country are celebrating for the same reason.
Anywhoo, if you’re throwing a 4th of July party or are just looking for ways to amp up the patriotism in your household, here’s a round-up of some great decorations, printables, and ideas!
I’m a huge fan of personalized cards. In fact, I usually don’t give them unless I’ve made them myself. This is equal parts me trying to be creative and give something special, and me boycotting the ridiculous price of a hallmark card. I mean, really, $3.99 for something that will be looked at once and…
My mother is a huge fan of both takeout. [sidenote: In her defense, she works the graveyard shift, so when she wakes up after a day of sleeping there isn’t much time for her to cook a meal before getting ready for work] She also loves herself some coupons; I guess that’s where I get my frugal nature from.
So for Mother’s Day this year, I thought I would make her a takeout menu/coupon binder to hold all her goodies (especially since her current organization method consists of an old, decrepit paper folder). The materials only cost me around $7.50, and assembly was no more than an hour or two process. I’ve seen these online and in bookstores for around $20, and they are half the size of the one I made, which just isn’t big enough for some coupon flyers.
