There were some real standouts on last night’s red carpet. I am as convinced as ever that “best dressed” refers to more than just the dress – it’s about the whole look head to toe; the hair, the makeup, the jewels, the shoes, and, of course, the dress.
Yippee! I’m totally pumped for the Oscars this Sunday night. I generally inform my husband a couple of days prior that I am claiming the TV for a good 3-4 hours on Oscar Sunday, due to the necessity of watching and critiquing the red carpet as well as every acceptance speech. He claims to hate award shows, but if I can get him to start watching it, I know he’ll sit through the whole thing and secretly enjoy it (at least that’s what I tell myself).
And since I know he’ll secretly enjoy himself, I plan to force him to watch it with me on Sunday while also forcing him to play Oscar Bingo (wife of the year? I think so). I can call it “quality time” together, right?
Over at How About Orange, you can download 20 free Oscar Bingo cards for the big night, along with an Oscar ballet. Woot, woot! Head on over to print your freebies and rope somebody into watching it with you.
I just finished watching the three-hour long celebration of Hollywood’s best, the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. I love seeing my favorite actors and actresses mingle and interact in their element, and living outside of the roles we watch them play throughout the year. And, of course, I love the fashion.
Here’s my list of best dressed, worst dressed, and all the rest…
Since I’m a bit of a reality show junkie, I’m very familiar with Lauren Conrad (or, “LC,” if you’re cool like me). Her rise to fame began with the MTV reality show Laguna Beach, followed by her own spin off, The Hills. Now Lauren designs several different clothing lines; one for Kohl’s, which I’m a big fan of, and a new line that just debuted called paper crown.
