Continuing on with our theme of getting organized for the new year, I decided I desperately needed a “To-Do” list that actually worked. Something that would give me a place to write down all those little thoughts running through my head each day.
I’m SO guilty of not writing things down that need to be picked up at the store or accomplished during the week, and therefore I am always forgetting things. If I do happen to write it down, it’s usually on a random piece of paper that eventually gets lost or thrown out and I am left wondering, “now where did I put this week’s dinner menu?”
So I came up with a to-do list as well as a grocery list (because I am ALWAYS forgetting the butter) that has space for all the things I need to remember. I printed out ten copies of each and stuck them on a clipboard, which I placed by my desk for easy access.
Now I can keep track of what I need to do from day to day as well as write down the things I come across that I need to pick up at the store – be it butter or toilet paper. When I’m ready to head out for errands, I can just grab my list off the clipboard. And since the to-do list and grocery list are separate (I chopped the page in half after printing), I can take the grocery list without also having to drag along – and inevitably misplace – my “to-do” list.
Feel free to download the PDF below and use it yourself. Hopefully it will help you feel a bit more organized, too!
p.s. I’m just realizing that all this talk of me needing to “remember” and being “forgetful” is making me sound really old. sigh.
