It’s going to be 80+ degrees today in Colorado (and all this week, actually), and it’s really got me itching for the official start of summer. After all my years living in California, I never really considered myself a beach girl or a “Cali girl” – my pale, melanoma-prone skin wouldn’t really allow for that sunkissed tan… but I think moving away from there and to a place with actual seasons has made me truly appreciate the warm weather and the feeling of the sun on my skin (especially after a long winter).
This summer has a lot going for it… I’ll be giving birth to a baby, enjoying my family’s first full summer in Colorado, and trying to find ways to occupy my 4 year old and 2 year old without pulling my hair out.
But aside from all that, here’s what I’m dreaming about this summer…
// To wear lots of summer dresses made of lace and eyelet cotton //
// To drink lots of fruity drinks (hopefully with some alcohol once this pregnancy ends!) //
// To have lots of date days instead of just date nights //
// To end the days exhausted from playing too hard //
// To have this as my view //
// To slow down long enough to actually read a book //
