With Valentine’s Day almost here, the race is on for every mom to gather up Valentines to pass out in class for each child. My daughter is in preschool, therefore I can still decide what she gives out and don’t have to succumb to the over-priced, hideous Dora/Princess/*insert random character name here* Valentines sold in stores. Thank God.
Her school didn’t allow us to do any candy Valentines, so I decided to pass out pencils, instead. These adorable ones were in the Target Dollar Spot ($1 for 8).
I created some cute little tags that read “You’re so ‘write’ for me, Valentine” and added her name to the bottom. Then I experimented with ways to attach them to each pencil. The obvious being two slits in the top and bottom so that it can slide over the pencil; but I am a sucker for my heart washi tape (also purchased in the Target Dollar Spot), so I played around with that as well.
If you’d like, you can download the tags for free { here }
If you want them customized with your child’s name at the bottom, you can purchase it for only $5 in my Etsy shop.
Enjoy!
