I think I can officially say that winter has hit Colorado. After a gorgeous 66-degree day on Monday, the temperature has dropped to 14 degrees today and we’ve got a good 5-6″ of snow on the ground. I took these photos yesterday just as the wind started to pick up and the temperature started to plummet. It was suddenly quite cold, which is why I look like I’m a bit uncomfortable and why I eventually put my coat on. Anyway… back to the outfit.
I’ve had this plaid scarf for a few years now and I love wearing it when it’s cold out because it’s made of a thick flannel and keeps me nice and warm. It’s amazing what a difference a scarf makes when you live in a cold climate. I owned several while living in CA, but they were definitely more for style than function. Now I’m learning the functional importance of such an accessory – they actually help! Who knew?
As for the boots, I’m still trying to decide on how I feel about them. I’ve had these for a few years, too, and I feel like their height makes them a bit outdated. I love the ruggedness of them, but I wish they were just a few inches shorter, which would make them a cute rugged bootie.
What do you think? Keep or toss?
