Hello, friends! After a long, busy weekend of traveling, I am finally home and have gotten a spare moment to write. Our trip to Colorado was tiring, but I feel so excited and content with our upcoming move. We found some areas we really love and are hoping to find available housing there in the coming months; at which point we will pack up and take off!
I just want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to anyone who wrote me reassuring notes on Instagram, Facebook, the blog, or via email… your love and support mean the world to me, and I couldn’t even imagine moving two states away from our friends, family, and our only familiar world without your kindness, love, and well wishes.
I was also overwhelmed to return and find FIVE Etsy orders awaiting me! If you have ever bought from me, please know how much I appreciate you!! You are truly the best and allow me to be a work-at-home mom, which is priceless.
Now… let’s get to the other business of the day. It’s WHAT I WORE WEDNESDAY! Because I am so behind, I literally did wear this today, which is why this post is coming so late…
I was sort of pumped about this outfit, because I felt like I revived an old, frumpy dress. I purchased this dress way back when in 2011 { see here }, and usually wore it with a t-shirt underneath to hide the fact that it was a little bit big in the bust and waist.
I also wore it quite a bit during pregnancy, at which time it actually fit me much better due to my expanding body! { worn here & here }
Then a few weeks ago, I saw the adorable Abby Leigh knot a button-down shirt over a dress, and a lightbulb went off. So I tested it out with my old ill-fitting purple dress. Bingo.
I love how it turned out. I was kind of tired of this top too, so this was a win-win outfit. Thanks for the inspiration, Abby!
Sidenote: Is the fact that this is the 4th time I am featuring this dress on the blog a faux pas? Especially since I complain about how it fits me EVERY time??
