This is spring in California, right? Isn’t it supposed to be warm and sunny? This week we had two 94 degree days followed up by a 55 degree day with rain… I am at a loss.
It’s annoying and a little confusing, but it did allow me to get some more use out of this “love” sweater that I bought at the end of winter. So I guess there’s a silver lining after all.

This is my typical “rainy day” gear: jeans, a tank top, a sweater (I get cold easily), thick socks, and my rain boots. My husband bought me rain boots a few years back as a gift because although I really wanted some, I had convinced myself they wouldn’t get much use – but now I wear them every time it rains. Which, in the course of three years, has been quite a bit. So they are now a staple in my wardrobe.

In conclusion… (that feels like a high school essay)… although I am still happily ushering in the warmer weather (I wore a cami and white maxi skirt to church on Sunday), I did quite enjoy this gloomy day in the middle of May.
