I took some time this weekend to revamp the gallery wall in my living room and prep it for Valentine’s Day. The project included creating some new art, sewing a felt heart, drawing on glass with a dry erase marker, and whipping up some new embroidery hoop art. All in a day’s work (or two…). Here’s the result:
- “Collect Moments Not Things” was free art from the awesome shop Red Autumn, printed as an 8×10 photo
- “Love” print was created by me. Download a 5×7″ for free { HERE }
- The embroidery hoop art was made from scrapbook paper hearts, sewing thread, and some muslin.
- The felt heart was something I whipped up while watching an episode of “Teen Mom 2” (guilty as charged). It’s been a while since I practiced the blanket stitch…
- I got the genius idea to write a personal note on a picture of myself and the Mr. with a dry erase marker. Not sure why I didn’t think of this before.
Have you started decorating for Valentine’s Day?
