I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I enjoyed the long holiday weekend and spent lots of time with my family (which is why it was so quiet around here). My almost two-year-old had so much fun and was definitely more into it this year than last. I so enjoyed seeing the joy and excitement on her face and reminiscing about how much she has grown in the last year. Everyone always says they grow so fast, but you don’t realize it until you have kids of your own!
My Christmas Loot
Anyway, I was completely spoiled this year. My husband did very, very well on gifts, as did my family. Remember those fleece-lined leggings I was drooling over weeks ago? Well, I got some! Except, they ended up not fitting and I had to return them… plus they were all sold out now so I couldn’t get them in my size. Sigh. I mourned over it for a good half-hour (ask the Mr. – it was pretty pathetic), but I found another shirt to replace them with from Anthro, so all is well now that I’ve mourned and replaced. (P.S. I particially considered getting the other sweatpants I was in love with from J.Crew, and they are now sold out as well – why am I being punished??)
I also got two things that I have so been needing, a new phone and a new laptop bag. Hooray for being technologically advanced! My old iPhone 3G (you are correct, it wasn’t even a 3GS, so this sucker was slowwww) was hardly working these days, and thanks to some gift cards and the Mr. who bought me a Kate Spade case, I happily purchased a new iPhone 4 at a very reasonable price. Guess what? I can actually use the apps on it now. What a difference! I’m looking forward to using instagram once again and tweeting things while on the go!
I also got my first tripod (so “What I’m Wearing Wednesdays” will look much more professional and I don’t have to prop my camera up on the table with blankets and books…), some adorable vintage flashcards for my daughter’s room, and the book “Growing Up Sew Liberated” – I can’t wait to start making things in here for my kids, everything is amazing!
Were you spoiled this year? I hope Santa was good to you, you deserve it Momma!
P.S. I’m a little sad that Christmas is over since it is my favorite holiday, but I am sort of happy that I can now move on from posting Christmas blogs and get back to everyday topics, aren’t you? Perhaps at least a little?
