I really love Martha Stewart. Really. The lady is super-crafty, knows her way around the kitchen, and loves to boss people around and tell them when they’re doing things wrong on television. It’s hilarious.
I’m already getting pumped for Christmas, but am trying to keep my excitement contained until Thanksgiving passes. That being said, I’ve decided to start a “Holidays with Martha” series for Thanksgiving and Christmas, because no one can do the holidays quite like Martha can.
So this is the first installment in the “Martha” series, and we’re focusing on table décor for Thanksgiving.
If you’re hosting this year, don’t fret! Martha has cheap, simple décor ideas.
Pear place card holders
These are so simple and cute.
Leafy table covering in felt
Decorating the table will be cheap and easy with a couple yards of felt cut into leaf shapes.
Printed linens
Don’t have nice linens for your guests? Don’t worry! Go pick up some cheap fabric napkins from the Dollar Store and follow Martha’s instructions to spruce them up a bit.
Leaves under glass plates
I’m thinking you could recreate this look for really cheap with leaves from your own backyard and plastic plates that mimic glass.
Squash centerpiece
One reason I love using fruit and veggies as centerpieces: super affordable (and festive).
Cornhusk votives
I love these cornhusk votives. Martha tells you exactly how to make them.
Harvest table
Pears make a really pretty centerpiece.
Printable turkey placecards
Class things up a bit with these free printables.
