Valentine’s Day is on its way! I’ve got lots of planning to do… last year I put together a few little loving surprises for the mister just to show him that I do, actually, think about him from time to time!
That actually reminds me of this post that has been going around Facebook lately – have you read it? It’s called “To Wives: Before you were Mommy” by Sissortail Silk. I nearly cried while reading it; as it reminded me of how hard it is to show love and affection to our husbands when we are covered in baby puke and busy washing out sippy cups, making dinner and cleaning the house. It’s so hard to forget that before we were mommy, before we loved our kids, we loved our man. He is, after all, the reason the kids even exist! Read it, if you haven’t already, and prep yourself to spoil your man this Valentine’s Day – he deserves it.
Anywho, I came up with this little Valentine’s Day card for my shop this year that is a reminder of just how long you’ve loved your man. My number (used on this sample card) has come from 8-ish years of dating. I used the date of our first kiss as the day when I fell in love with him, because really, it was all downhill from there (or uphill?…).
I think it’s a sweet sentiment for the man who’s still your favorite! You can find it in my shop, and I even have a link to a handy little calculator that will figure out the math for you (because there’s no way I was doing that on my own).
