Friends, I don’t often make resolutions – probably because I know I will just break them. But this year, I have already committed to (without really planning on it being a “resolution”) learning new things. I took a step back from a job that I had been doing for the past 5 years so that…
Our bedroom has this odd nook that is quite deep and narrow. Although it’s a strange size, I was weirdly excited when I first saw it, knowing that I could create something great in that small space.
I’m still getting used to this whole “winter” thing. Truthfully, it’s been pretty mild here in CO when it comes to the cold and the snow, save for a week where we had single digit temps.
Can you believe that we’ll be ushering in 2014 tonight? Where has the year gone? I can’t believe all that happened this year and all that I’ve accomplished! Although the blog slowed down quite a bit – both because of a big move to Colorado in July/August and because I began focusing more on growing my Etsy shop – I’ve still been so blessed by all the traffic I’ve had and my loyal readers.
I must admit, I have had these big elaborate ideas for blog posts lately, but can’t seem to make them happen. Pregnancy has left me tired, nauseous, and headachey (that’s not a word…). So please accept this small attempt at posting as something real and worthwhile!
In case you didn’t get a glimpse of our Christmas card on Facebook or Instagram, we used it to share a bit of Taylor family news.
2014 will bring another beautiful child to our family! We are very excited and still trying to wrap our heads around it. Baby #3 was discussed several times and we knew that if we were going to do it, we wanted to do it soon so that the kids were all close in age. However, the pregnancy came out of nowhere and was not exactly planned – oops!
I can’t believe that Christmas is in just a couple of days. Does it seem like the past month just flew by to anyone else? I swear Thanksgiving was yesterday. Of course, leave it to me to get a cold two days before Christmas. I’m all stuffed up and that should make for a fun holiday… but I digress.
Last week I posted about possible gift ideas for teachers. After I gathered all my ideas, I went to work creating something for Mia’s Preschool teachers. I wanted to give them something both fun and functional, and I decided to make it a “thank you” gift of sorts.
The only times I’ve ever thought about not having a real Christmas tree in the house have all been times of pregnancy or since I’ve had kids; times when it felt like the cons might outweigh the pros (which is pretty big for me, because I LOVE living Christmas trees).
