So, I recently decided to branch out and submit some designs for a design challenge on Minted.com. If you have ever used Minted, you know that the stationary they sell is top quality and their designs are the cutest around. What makes them so unique is that they sell designs from hundreds of freelance designers, allowing them to offer tons of variety. Designers like myself enter their “design challenges,” and then people can vote on the submitted designs. Based on the votes, Minted decides which designs to sell on their site. Winners get a cash prize, plus commission on any designs they sell thereafter.
I heart my Etsy shop and my customers (and I will, of course continue to sell there), but I am hoping to broaden my client-base and take a chance with Minted.
