The seasons are changing! My poor daughter has nothing to wear for spring weather. Most days she sweats it out in long sleeves and leggings, or bears her tummy in too-short t-shirts from last summer (sorry, kid). One of the joys of having kids is that you are forced to buy them clothes; true, this can be a financial nuisance – but it’s a fun one.
I used to only think of Carter’s as the adorable newborn outfits and onesies that you put your squishy little bundle in when they were oh-so-tiny. But I am now discovering that they have a great line for growing babies and kids, too; clearly my 10 month old is rockin it in the photos above, and when I was pregnant with baby #2, Carter’s was the first place I went to get my toddler her first “Big Sister” tee.
And, bonus, the stores close to me seem to constantly have sales going on, so I always feel like I’m getting a good deal.
With spring officially sprung, they have two great new lines for babies that capture the season and the cuteness of your little ones. You can find new collections for kids, toddlers and baby clothes in all Carter’s stores and online.
Carter’s Spring Line for Baby Girls:
Your baby girl (NB-24M) can sport the Flamingo Friends line, made up of navy and hot pink combinations with florals, polka dots and a hint of flamingos. There’s lots of girly details like ruffled sleeves and pockets, as well as ruffled swimwear.
Some of my favorite pieces in the line are making me miss the days of having a baby girl (where has the time gone?):
If my 3 year old still looked good in floppy hats, I would make her wear them, because I can’t get enough of them. I think the chin strap hat after 12 months is a no-no, though… I am loving all the ruffles in these pieces, and that swimwear cover-up is just too cute.
Carter’s Spring Line for Baby Boys:
Baby boys (NB-24M) have lots of options with the new Mommy’s 1st Mate line, with bright green and navy blue plaids and stripes. Lots of little animal details like octopuses, whales, and fish are included too. I’ve always been a sucker for plaids. Here are some of my favorite pieces from the line:
Nothing beats a good polo onesie – it’s a staple in our house. As are baby flip flops, because squishy baby feet in flip flops are about as cute as it gets. Also, I am the first to admit that I am sort of obsessed with the shirt/onesies/pant sets from Carter’s (as evinced by Lincoln’s pictures above) because it takes all the guesswork out of getting my boy dressed (bonus for when I ask dad to dress him!).
