I was a little wary when I put this little black dress on the other day. But it was hot out and I am running out of maternity dresses to wear, so comfort and necessity won over me feeling like I was obviously smuggling a beach ball under a normal dress.
You want to show off a baby bump? Wear this jersey dress from Old Navy. Problem is, I’m not sure I really NEEDED to show off the bump at 37 weeks – it pretty much shows itself regardless of what I wear. When I wore this dress at 21 weeks, I think it may have been a lot cuter with my little bump!
In any event, I stayed cool and comfortable throughout the day, so I guess that’s officially a win. I kept things simple by pairing it with a skinny belt and some suede tassle sandals. There wasn’t much more I could layer on since it was 90 degrees outside.
Sometimes I can’t help but look at pregnancy photos of myself and think, “wowzers, that looks really odd.” Isn’t it strange that there is a HUMAN BEING in there?? Like a real live person kicking and moving around inside my body. It’s very alien-like. God really had a sense of humor when he created this process – although after my 9th time of peeing at 3 a.m. I’m not finding it so funny, but that’s just me.
