So things have been a little hectic and What I Wore Wednesdays have been hard to come by. First of all, I just barely unpacked all my clothes. Second of all, I cannot find my tripod ANYWHERE. I swear it’s got to be here somewhere… but for now, I had to have my 3 year old take my photos. She did surprisingly well. Although, I had to have her stand on a chair halfway through because I realized the first photos she took were shooting straight up my nose.
Anywhoo, it’s friday, but I am finally getting a What I Wore post up (and conveniently leaving out the โWednesdayโ portion of the title). So for my sake, just roll with it.
This outfit came at a bargain price that I am quite proud of. It’s been a while since I bought new clothes and I was getting the itch. Then I got an email from American Eagle Outfitters (my favorite place to buy jeans because they fit my straight-as-a-board body better than any other) that all their jeans were under $30. Sold. So I picked up some new cropped skinny jeans in gray.
Then I headed to Target last night for some supplies and stopped by the clearance racks. Ya’ll, I don’t know if Colorado is just way cooler than California or what, but their clearance racks were endless and full of decent clothes (which I have never found to be the case in the past). I picked up this adorable floral chiffon and lace peplum top for $12. I also grabbed a black and white dress with pockets for the same price and a tank top for $5… nice.
This top feels super romantic and pretty and I can’t wait to experiment with it and find out the many ways to make it work with my existing wardrobe. For now, my cropped skinnies, nude cami and nude patent flats did just fine.
I also tried it on with my brown booties cause I’m rustic like that. I guess it all just depends on my mood.
