I keep pinning all these delicious-looking recipes on Pinterest, but am forgetting to make them. So I figured if I do a post with my top 5, I’ve got a better chance of remembering to try them out. So here are the top 5 recipes I’ve recently found online that I’m dying to try:
Apple Juice Sweetened Granola
My husband and I love granola on our yogurt and I feel like I’m constantly buying it. It’s not terribly expensive, but I know it would be cheaper to make on my own. For some reason I’ve been afraid to try, but this recipe from Adrienneats.com looks so easy! Not to mention, it’s healthy and not loaded with butter and oil. I must try it. {Sidenote: Have you ever had issues with dicing an onion? I learned how to do it a while back just like Adrienne explains in this post, and it changed my life. I thought I was worth sharing!}
Smoky Corn & Black Bean Pizza
We are huge black bean fans in my house. When I am running low on ingredients and need a cheap meal, I turn to a can of black beans. Black bean nachos, quesadillas, soup… you name it, I’ve made it. They’re a great source of protein and fiber, low in fat, and rich in several essential vitamins and minerals (according to Livestrong.com). This pizza from Eating Well looks so yummy and I love that’s it’s grilled. I have always wanted to try grilling a pizza, but have never actually done it, so this is definitely something to try.
Broccoli Cheddar Soup
My husband and I are equally in love with broccoli cheddar soup and usually end up eating from one another’s bowls when one of us orders it at Panera Bread or Corner Bakery. This recipe from Mangio Da Sola actually looks pretty simple and the pictures won me over right away.
Chick-Fil-A Imitation Nuggets
Amy over at SnickerDoodle claims that these taste pretty similar to a certain nugget at the βchicken (not cow) place.β I am a huge fan of Chick-Fil-A, and perhaps the fact that I’ve been craving it lately is why I chose to include this recipe… Whatever the reason, I think I better try this one, and soon!
Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting
And finally, because it’s only right to end this with something sweet, and also because it’s fall… here’s a recipe for pumpkin bars from How To Simplify. I’m pretty much obsessed with anything pumpkin, so these fit the bill.
So there’s my list of recipes to try… what’s on yours?
