So here I sit at a coffee shop the day before Easter and I realize that it may be a little late to shop for Easter dresses, but shoot – it’s never too late to shop for spring! }
As a child, we always had a new dress to wear on Easter. It was a big occasion and called for ratted bangs, curly hair, a poofy skirt and ruffled socks (it was the 80s, mind you). Although times have changed and we now attend a very casual church on Easter morning, I still feel amiss if I don’t get my kids dressed up in a new outfit; and quite frankly, I feel amiss if I don’t get dressed up, too.
Easter is the perfect time to splurge on a new dress that you can wear all spring long. And it’s a great opportunity to add some color and pattern back into your wardrobe, or try something trendy and out of the box. It is the start of a new season, after all.
I always lean toward florals and pastels for spring, but that’s just the classic girl in me. Some people prefer bright solids instead. Whatever you choose, pick something that makes you feel pretty but also a little sassier than usual – and that’s my official challenge to you.
